The reduction of Overwatch legend, professional player and coach, Dennis"INTERNETHULK" Hawelka is one that has already been felt throughout the aggressive Overwatch community. On November 11, only a couple of days after his departure, members of the community gathered together for the Hulktastic Cup, a tournament held as a party of his life.
Now, Blizzard too is commemorating Hawelka, with The Dennis Hawelka Award. An honor to be handed out at the end of every Overwatch League year to the player who has had the most positive impact on the community. The award was announced by Blizzard Wednesday and a short statement of Hawelka's impact on Overwatch and its own community. His intelligence, generosity and friendship will never be forgotten. Blizzard will even add a small memorial to Hawelka in match, on the map Eichenwalde in which a poster with the words Crusaders Stand Guard, along with a small candle.
